Extra-Infos: Re-issue Of Mid 80's British Melodic Rock Album
Description:Digitally remastered and expanded edition of this 1983 album from the British AOR/Melodic Rock band. With two previous albums tucked under their belt Grand Prix had secured a reputation as one of the UK's best melodic rock outfits wielding a sound half borrowed from the grandest of American acts such as Kansas and Journey yet underpinned by a certain British earthiness. It was with this gravitas that Grand Prix recorded their third album produced by Status Quo alumni John Eden in the Scottish Highlands. Samurai is without doubt one of the greatest pomp rock albums ever recorded by a British band. Boasting gilt edged melodies and boasting a batch of songs that would not be out of place on a multiplatinum Styx album, the effect is utterly spellbinding. Oh, and look out for vocalist Robin McAuley, a voice of pure delight. Rock Candy Records.
Issued in a standard jewel case with clear tray and 16-page booklet. "Made in the EU" printed on the actual CD label. Bonus tracks from B-Side of Shout single, recorded live at the Reading Festival, 28 August 1982.
"Samurai (Lim. Collector's Edit.)" is a special limited collector?s edition CD by the British rock band Grand Prix, released by Rock Candy Records. This exclusive release features remastered tracks that capture the energetic and melodic hard rock sound for which Grand Prix became known in the early 1980s. The album includes fan favorites as well as rare bonus material, making it a must-have for collectors and enthusiasts of classic rock music. Grand Prix achieved recognition with their powerful vocals, anthemic choruses, and dynamic musicianship?most notably through albums like "There For None To See." Their influence can be traced in later acts within the melodic rock genre. Rock Candy Records is renowned for its dedication to reissuing classic AOR and hard rock albums with superior audio quality and detailed liner notes, ensuring fans receive both nostalgia and new insights into legendary releases.
