Description:Lark Rise Revisited is an album by Lark Rise Band, released in 2008. The album is a folk CD. - MUSIC FROM THE BBC SERIES W/ ASHLEY HUTCHINGS
The main man behind this project is Ashley Hutchings, also led the Albion Band during 1981 when Lark Rise to Candleford was put on at the National theatre. The subsequent album, simply called Lark Rise to Candleford, became both a commercial and artistic legend. Ashley became closely associated with the public with Lark Rise after this and is the perfect band leader to sell this album.
A follow on to the original music for the Keith Dewhurst plays; "Lark Rise" and "Candleford". This CD includes unpublished songs from those productions, plus new songs written especially for "Revisited". Tracks 3, 4, 9, 11, 12, 14 and 17 are extracts from the book "Lark Rise To Candleford" by Flora Thompson
