Description:	Nachdem auf mysteriöse Weise eine ganze Reihe von Kriegsschiffen gesunken ist und Geschichten von einem Meermonster aufkommen, wird ein weiteres Schiff ausgesandt, um dies zu untersuchen, an Bord der Wissenschaftler Arronax. Doch auch sein Schiff wird eines Nachts von dem Monster angegriffen und versenkt. Arronax, sein Diener Conseil und der Harpunier Ned Land können sich retten. Bald werden sie von dem Monster aufgebracht, dass sich als U-Boot, die Nautilus entpuppt, geführt von dem legendären Captain Nemo.
