1991 release. The Scottish National Orchestra with leader Edwin Paling, conducted by Neeme Jarvi perform Khachaturian's famous ballet. Spartacus has proved one of the most enduring & popular Russian ballets. It was awarded the Lenin Prize in 1959. This performance was recorded September 5-8, 1990 at Henry Wood Hall, Glasgow, Scotland.
