 | Description: | In 1992-93 Klaus Schulze recorded about ten hours of music, not intended for record release. This music was issued in a box set and quickly sold out, so smaller collections have been reissued. DISC 1: The four parts of "Film Musik" contain the complete music for the soundtrack to the 1993 German tv documentary "Spurensicherung. Baudenkmäler" DISC 2: Klaus called the 71-minute piece "Narren des Schicksals" his first symphony. It was recorded in 1992/'93 for no special purpose. DISC 3: Track 1, "Der Schönheit Spur", is the longer version of the music Klaus recorded 1993 as soundtrack for a film about Berlin's Potsdamer Platz, and the final track ("Return in Happy Plight") is the remixed version which was actually used for the film. "Ein schönes Autodafé" was meant but not used as ballet music for Klaus' opera "Totentag".Released in 8-panel Digipak. Includes a 12-page booklet in German and English.
Notes from the booklet:
Disc 1: The four parts of "Film Musik" contain the complete music for the soundtrack to the 1993 German tv documentary "Spurensicherung. Baudenkmäler", put in proper shape for the [r=701512] release in 1993. In this long deleted ten-CD set these four tracks had a handful of romantic subtitles each, I left them out for this re-release: the music is still the same. One attentive Polish member of "The KS Circle" had noticed that the piano part from "Der Optimismus" is fairly inspired by Frederic Chopin's "Ballade in G minor, Op. 23", and yes, he is right.

Disc 2: Klaus called the 71-minute piece "Narren des Schicksals" his first symphony and therefore, and for its first release on [r=701512], I gave it the sub-title "Symphonic Poem in 3 Movements, B Flat minor". It was recorded in 1992/'93 for no special purpose.

"Ein schönes Autodafé" was meant but not used as ballet music for Klaus' opera "Totentag". It was recorded during Klaus' intense sampling era in 1993.
