Description:SE-Quartet's debut recording on Prophone presents the group as a new force on the Nordic jazz scene. David Ehrlin, Rasmus H. Thomsen, Antti Ojala, and Patrik Hanson met as studio musicians but so enjoyed playing together that the gig spawned a new partnership: A tight quartet with lyric sensibility and dynamic interplay. As the title might hint, the tunes featured on this release are contemplative and lyrical, each selected carefully by the quartet's members for it's thought-provoking, evocative mood.
Recorded in Ingesund, Värmland, Sweden during November and December 2011.
