Dave Slave started with Australia's Sadistik Exekution who took Extreme Metal to a whole new dimension and were as loathed as they were loved. 2004 saw the last official release from Sad Ex and marked the opportunity for bassist Dave to pursue some solo work on a full-time basis. After an utterly awesome Bionic Bass EP showcasing his brilliant and varied bass skills, and his first doom/horror release, Doomed And Disgusting, Dave presents this his second release, entitled Satan's Nightmare. Quirky, unsettling, crawling funeral/horror doom- It is relatively obvious that this is essentially a one-man band. The vocals are nuts, there are loads of queer effects, samples and unsettling sounds throughout the 11 tracks which nail the sound of horror perfectly. Tracks creep and crawl at an eerily measured pace, maintaining interest and their unsettling mood with cleverly timed riffs and samples. The ultimate in occult ritual horror soundtrack music.
