English Alexander S. - 2020年 01月 15日 5 满分 5 颗星!
The second album of the progressive group Yes. But just from progressive there is very little. The influence of hard rock from the first album has not yet weathered. On "Time and a Word" there is a special melody unusual for the other albums of the group. Quiet and soft, calming, as, for example, in the song "The Prophet", it swims with a slow river through the entire album. If the album’s mood is fine, then the melody of the songs is still a problem. Musicians clearly want to stand out from the crowd of one-sort art groups of that time and acquire their own sound, hence some experimental mood. But it turns out that they are not very good. It would be better if they increased the length of the songs, then there would be more room for experimentation. However, Yes will do this a little later. Perhaps the only "normal" song from here is "Time and a Word." There are no strange changes in rhythm and mood, but there is a classic art rock with all the ensuing consequences. "No Opportunity Necessary, No Experience Needed" is the fastest song here, and it very clearly hints to us about the future work of this team. The group will adhere to this spirit further. In the meantime, Yes is just a good experiment and a dream of distant cosmic worlds and warm moods, which, however, will come true very quickly.
