One of the bands featured in the hit HBO/Sky Atlantic series, Treme, the Soul Rebel Brass Band embraces the rich jazz traditions of their homeland but add life-affirming vocals and hip shaking grooves aplenty. Blending Mardi Gras funk, soul, and ska with a hip hop sensibility, their contagious originals and updated take on standards have won them loyal audiences across the globe.Recorded at The Music Shed, New Orleans, Louisiana, April-May, 2011.
