Digitally remastered and expanded Phase Two of the Dicks began in San Francisco, 1983, when Gary Floyd relocated to a new city and reformed the groundbreaking band with a new lineup. Eschewing the traditional hardcore formula, Floyd along with drummer Lynn Perko, guitarist Tim Carroll and bassist Sebastian Fuchs evolved a more mature punk sound while still retaining their political edge. This incarnation recorded the Peace? 7-inch and These People album. They disbanded in 1986 and Floyd and Perko went on to form Sister Double Happiness. This release contains the complete studio output of the San Francisco lineup of the Dicks.
Digipak Tracks 1-12 originally released as the [r=868116] LP (Alternative Tentacles # Virus 43, 1985). Recorded at Bear West Studios Tracks 13-15 originally released as the [r=868129] 7" ([l37146] # RRR-45-D2, 1984). Recorded at Rhythmic Rivers, San Francisco, CA.
