Description:Son Of Dust Sucker by Captain Beefheart & His Magic Band, released 2 July 2012, includes the following tracks: "Harry Irene", "Flavor Bud Living", "Floppy Boot Stomp", "Owed T' Alex" and more. This version of Son Of Dust Sucker comes as a 1xCD. - CAPTAIN'S TAPES OF BAT CHAIN PULLER
Tracks 13-21 are labeled as "Mystery Bonus Tracks" ; they seem to be a random selection of low quality bootleg recordings: 13 - My Human Gets Me Blues (Paris 1972) 14 - Alice In Blunderland (Paris 1972) 15 - I'm Gonna Booglarize You Baby (Paris 1972) 16 - Click Clack (Paris 1972) 17 - When Big Joan Sets Up (Detroit 1971) 18 - Golden Birdies (sax improv intro, date & place unknown) 19 - Woe Is Uh Me Bop (Detroit 1971) 20 - Abba Zabba (Paris 1972) 21 - Bellerin' Plain (Detroit 1971). Tracks 17, 19 & 21 are also on [r875485]. CD "booklet" is 8 page foldout without info on the mystery bonus tracks except that they "are taken from rare recordings that Don made during his illustrous musical career". Front states "The Captain's and [a654825]'s tapes of the legendary Bat Chain Puller studio sessions plus rare bonus tracks" and back of booklet explains this further. The notes are by "we at [l43026]" and they express "Thanks to the late Ken Brooks for information used in the preparation of these sleeve notes." This CD is a sequel volume to [m77404]. It's an unofficial release from bootleg sources, and definitely not the official ones they claim they're from. It came out a few months after the official Zappa Records release [r3431255], possibly to confuse people into buying this instead. Ozit's press release reads: "This release is a new, updated version of the original tapes for the "Bat Chain Puller" Album. The CD will not be repressed after it is sold out."
