Description:

Digitally re-mastered and expanded edition of this 1979 album from the British Funk act. Originally released on Island Records, the album features the Top 10 double a side smash hit 'British Hustle' / 'Peace on Earth' and the Top 20 hit 'Hi Tension. Both 'British Hustle' & 'Hi Tension' were club classics of their time and the Hi Tension album featured extended versions of both tracks. The single versions are included in this package as bonus tracks. Hi Tension featured the vocal talents of David Joseph who went on to have solo hit singles in the early '80s. Cherry Red.

The front cover reproduces the original album cover artwork but states "+ Bonus Tracks" as well as "Includes Long Versions Of Hi-Tension & British Hustle". As the track listing indicates, the Bonus tracks of these two songs are their respective shorter 7" versions. The "Long Versions" here therefore seems to refer to the longer original album versions included which appear to be identical to their respective UK 12" releases. The third Bonus Track, "Girl I Betcha", is the original B-Side of the "Hi-Tension" single. Recorded and mixed at Island Studios, Hammersmith. Published by Screen Gems/EMI Music Ltd.
