Originally released over 50 years ago, the Trombones Inc. Is a must for fans of Jazz and Jazz trombone. Some tracks include up to 10 different trombonists playing at once to songs arranged by J.J. Johnson, Marty Paich, and Warren Barker.

Track 1 recorded New York, December 26, 1958. Tracks 2, 4, & 12 (partially) recorded New York, December 29, 1958. Tracks 3, 5 recorded New York, December 31, 1958. Tracks 6, 9, 10 &12 (partially) recorded December 5, 1958. Tracks 7, 8, 11 recorded Los Angeles December 3, 1958. Track 12 wasn't included on the original LP, but on a rare and long out of print 1960 compilation titles " Jazz Festival In Stereo". According to the Tom Lord Discography, it is an edited performance combining takes from both December 5 and December 31 sessions, so it's difficult to be precise on the exact personnel. 8-page booklet includes credits and liner notes.
