This version of Euphrates River / Afrodisiac comes as a 1xCD. - .. AFRODISIACDigitally remastered two-fer containing a pair of albums from the Soul/R&B vocal trio. Afrodisiac was released in 1973 and has become a firm favorite with fans. It established Cuba Gooding as a master balladeer while virtually establishing the 'quiet storm' on an album considered as tribute to Stevie Wonder with a combination of three readings and three new songs composed especially. Euphrates River (1974) was more commercially successful than Afrodisiac and includes another of their biggest hits, "Just Don't Want to Be Lonely". "Looks Like Rain" is a modern soul favorite enjoying spins to this day. Brian Auger's "Happiness Is Just Around the Bend" also enjoyed a revival by the group when Cuba Gooding's solo version of the song was released in 1983 produced by Arthur Baker. Both albums feature the lead vocals of Cuba Gooding, the voice of all the group's major hits over the years and father to Hollywood actor, Cuba Gooding Jr..
