Description:
In der Ramsay Street leben drei Familien: Die Robinsons, die Ramsays und die Clarkes. Am Anfang stehen die Hochzeitsvorbereitungen für Des und Lorraine. Die gesamte Nachbarschaft hilft. Shane Ramsay, ein Freund von Des, engagiert für die Junggesellenfeier die Stripperin Daphne Lawrence. Doch die Hochzeit platzt, Lorraine versetzt Des und verschwindet aus seinem Leben. Des lernt unterdessen die Stripperin besser kennen. Weitere Höhepunkte aus der Handlung: Shanes jüngerer Bruder Danny wird von Alpträumen geplagt und muß in psychiatrische Behandlung.
Danny findet heraus, daß sein Vater Max gar nicht sein leiblicher Vater ist.
