His pioneering production and introduction of the melodica helped Pablo become one of the godfathers of dub. This famous 1973 collaboration between him and producer Clive Chin includes the reggae classic Dub Organizer plus Point Blank; Arabian Rock; Pablo in Dub, and more; this reissue adds their early hit Java plus other bonus cuts, one unissued!
Tracks 13 to 15 are bonus tracks. Originally released in 1973 on the Kaya label in Jamaica and on Tropical in the UK (and later reissue on Heartbeat and Above Rock). Recorded and mixed at Randy's Recording Studio 17. Kingston, Jamaica W.I. Re-mastered @ VP Mastering NY According to liner notes: Track 1, "Dub Organizer", is a cover of Lee Perry's song with Dillinger "Dub Organizer" (which versioned Burning Spear's Joe Frazer rhythm). Track 6, "Pablo in Dub", is a version of Horace Andy's "Children of Israel". Track 9, "Too Late" is a cover of Clive Chin and singer Alton Ellis. Track 12, "Lover's Mood", is a version of Horace Andy's "Problems". Track 13, "Java", recorded in 1971. Track 14, "Guiding Red", was Pablo's b-side melodica cut to The Heptones' "Guilding Star" produced in 1972. Track 15, "Marabi", was Pablo's clavinet version to Dennis Brown's "Cheater" (1972).
