Sessions 1981-83 by Void, released 10 November 2011, includes the following tracks: "Go South", "Controller / Revolt", "Suburbs Suck", "Annoyed" and more. This version of Sessions 1981-83 comes as a 1xLP. The vinyl is pressed as a opaque disc. -

Vinyl LP pressing. 2011 collection from the cult Washington, DC-based Punk band. When Void started a song it was as if each member was playing his own parts as fast as humanly possible, but not necessarily together. While to some it may have seemed like complete cacophony, to those in the know it was music on a higher level. While organizing their archive, Dischord came across the four-track of Void's first recording session. It was done with Steve Carr at Hit and Run Studios in November '81 and never officially released. The tape was remixed by Ian MacKaye and Don Zientara at Inner Ear earlier this year. Sessions 1981-83 features the entire Hit and Run session along with the first Inner Ear demo (including the Flex Your Head cuts and the songs that ended up on the Condensed Flesh 7-inch), two outtakes from their second Inner Ear session (that spawned their legendary split LP with Faith), and a couple of live recordings including one that is almost certainly the last song they ever played.

Tracks A1 to A20 recorded in November 1981 at Hit And Run Studios, Rockville, MD . Mixes at Inner Ear Studios in January 2011. Tracks B1 to B10 recorded and mixed in December 1981 at Inner Ear Studios except tracks B8 to B10 mixed at Inner Ear February 2011. Tracks B11 & B12 recorded in June 1982 at Inner Ear Studios. Outtakes from the Faith/Void split LP. Track B13 recorded live at 930 club, February 13,1983. Track B14 recorded live t Wilson Center, July 1,1983.
