Description:	Marieke hat Angst vor der Liebe. Sie sehnt sich nach Wärme, Zärtlichkeit und Zuneigung. Diese findet sie bei älteren Männern, mit denen sie vor allem sanfter, gefühlvoller Sex verbindet. Sie ist zwanzig aber immer noch ein verspieltes Mädchen. Voller Lust am Leben fühlt sie sich nicht in der Lage, eine Beziehung mit einem einzigen Mann aufzubauen. Ihr Vater beging Selbstmord, als sie ein Kind war. Marieke lässt sein Tod nicht los, der für sie ein Mysterium ist. Doch er ist tabu zwischen ihr und ihrer Mutter, die seit damals zurückgezogen lebt. Als Jacoby, der beste Freund ihres Vaters und Liebhaber ihrer Mutter nach Jahren wieder in die Stadt zurück kehrt, bringt er Mariekes sensibles Gleichgewicht ins Wanken. Sie verfällt ihm sofort, doch Jacobys große Liebe war und ist Mariekes Mutter. Die Erinnerungen die er an ihren Vater weckt, zwingen Marieke sich ihrer Vergangenheit zu stellen und langsam lüftet sich das Geheimnis rund um den Tod des Vaters.
