The tracks for this superb album come from 1957 & 1958, some recorded in the studio, and some taken directly from TV soundtrack recordings, the latter never before released in any form. These 14 tracks demonstrate just how the young Julie Andrews took New York's theater audience by storm with her Broadway appearances in "The Boy Friend" and "My Fair Lady". Also included are two songs from her appearance on the Dinah Shore show in 1958. Julie sings "I Could Have Danced All Night" and duets with Dinah on "Whispering Hope". Tracks include: The Floral Dance, These Precious Things, Canterbury Fair, As I Went A-Roaming, London Pride, The Lass With The Delicate Air.
