Description:Max Midsun was formed in 2004, and they have since played several live shows around Norway. The music can be described as the bastard child of Queens of the stoneage, System of a down, Tool, Entombed and Alice in Chains as Max Midsun blend the chugging punch of downtuned guitars and the groovy backbone of frantic yet airtight drums and low-end bass. All this topped with desperate, melodic vocals, giving the music a unique edge in the rising Norwegian rock scene. A five-track promo CD was recorded in 2005 and included the video-track 'The Pain' which was given heavy rotation on norwegian national television. Max Midsun's debut album was set for release on October 30th 2006, through the Norwegian label MORNINGSTAR RECORDS (distribution by Plastichead). The title is 'MAX THE 1ST' and was recorded in Godt Selskap studio (Keep of Kalessin, Necrophagia, Chton etc.) and Top Room studio (Turbonegro, Mayhem, Ulver etc.) The album features guest drum contributions by Vegar 'Vyl' Larsen (Keep of Kalessin/Chton) and Alessandro Elide (Manifest) Max Midsun have a new drummer now, the best of the best, Daniel Elide The 2nd album from Max Midsun is a feast of powerful downtuned guitars and a frenzy of drums with melodic vocals that gives the music a certain edge that lacks in most Norwegian rock albums of today. A collection of strong memorable songs like 'A perfect day', 'The greatest horse in history' and 'Fire walk with me', with videos in production for the last two mentioned. The bastard child of stoner rock and groovy metal! Streetdate February 11th across the World via Plastic Head distribution!
