Recorded in New York City on Jaunary 3, 1945 (tracks 20 to 27). Track titles taken from more complete CD booklet list. Tracks 3, 4, 7, 11, 13, 15, 18, 20, 21, 23 to 25, 27 are previously unissued. According to Windows Media Player: Track 1 runs 1:36. CD lists it as 1:31. Track 13 runs 2:05. CD lists it as 0:27 + 0:24 + 1:07. Track 15 runs 0:58. CD lists it as 0:53. Track 18 runs 0:43. CD lists it as 0:17 + 0:21. Al Hibbler and Kay Davis are also credited as vocalists at the January 2 & 3 1945 sessions, but neither one sings on tracks on this collection.
