NIGHTHAWK (1937 - 1952)Robert Nighthawk left home at an early age to become a busking musician. For a while, he travelled through southern Mississippi before eventually settling for Memphis, Tennessee. During this period, a particular influence on his playing was Houston Stackhouse. He learnt slide guitar with him and they frequently performed on the radio together.Compiled from seven different sessions, recorded between 1937 and 1952.
