The end of the 90s was marked by the emergence of a huge amount of professional and high-quality power-metal as such. One of the representatives of this style was the Finnish gang Nightwish. Their music is distinguished by its beautiful female vocals and the original sound of the instruments - not everyone can find such melodic guitar-keyboard cuts.
As for the 1998 album itself. Unlike the debut album, this one is much more interesting in all respects - the music has become very technical, there are no passing things. Everything stands in its place - all the instruments sound equally great. Interesting notes appeared in the music, according to which it can be determined that it was Nightwish without even hearing Tarja's voice.
I don’t even know what to note first. I really liked the first thing - very melodic and fast. I also really liked the Sacrament Of Wilderness, Passion And The Opera, Swanheart and, of course, Walking In The Air. The last thing generally deserves the best reviews. Listening to her, one wants to fly into the air - and no drugs are needed. The best drug is NIGHTWISH.
