-- Quoted from booklet p.10:
The Barbirolli Society is aware thal despite the expert remastering of Paul Baily, the sound in some of the items here
require s some indulgence from listeners. Most of the items originate in privately made recordings from Lady Barbirolli's
private archive and, though restoration to anything approaching modern standards has proved extremely difficult, it is
nevertheless felt thal the unique nature of much of the material more than justifies this tribute to a remarkable musician
and much loved person.
Because of damage on the original recording, a few seconds of music are missing from the Castelnuovo-Tedesco work.
