Filosofem is a fantastic collection of music. A bleak, repetitive, haunting, bundle of tracks by one of (if not the most) controversial figures from the Norwegian scene, Filosofem is truly amazing.

Difficult to say which Burzum album is the best. The answer is none. All of them changed the conception of Black Metal forever. The harshness of this record tells itself and that alone gives true spirit of Vargs musicianship.

Combinating Black metal and ambient music was the formula followed by Varg Vikernes to produce one of the most influential albums in the history of Black Metal. The first Burzum albums changed the Black Metal forever. Dunkelheit is the masterpiece of this album!

Too hard to describe this album. First time I heard it as a teenager I was shocked that people actually listen to this kind of music. So cavern and distorted, barely something is recognizable for the untrained ear. But I guess this genre has a big rely on the exposure effect. I will admit that even if you don't like it at the beginning it still leaves you with a curiosity feeling that you cant shake, or at least it did for me. Great album overall, one of my favorites in black metal.
