Hot jazz from Carlsen & Devine's Wisconsin Roof Orchestra; Carlsen's tracks are from 1929-31, and Devine's tracks are from 1926-28 (Carlsen appears on all cuts) - remastered by John R.T. Davies, a recognized pioneer in sound restoration.

With a 12-page booklet with notes in English (dated September, 1999). Musicians on tracks 20 to 23 are largely unknown: "Some of the unknown musicians are probably from the Devine's Wisconsin Roof Orchestra personnel given above." None of the titles appear to have composers credits on the original 78 rpm records. Main title as on front cover and label. Variant title on spine: Bill Carlsen 1926-1931. Variant title on back cover: Bill Carlsen and Devine's Wisconsin Roof Orchestra.
