Description:Digitally re-mastered two-fer containing a pair of albums from the R&B/Soul quartet. Kwick were Vince Ricari Williams, Terry Bartlett, William Sumlin and Bertram Brown from Memphis, Tennessee. Kwick and to the Point were recorded for EMI America records in 1980 and 1981 respectively. 'Nightlife' is one of their most fondly remembered tunes with it's funky boogie groove that some DJs used to spin at a slower speed, and the album track 'We're Saying Goodbye Again' further motivation for Expansion to bring these two LPs together and release on CD for the first time.
The CD "Kwick/To The Point" by the band Kwick, released by Expansion Records, brings together two classic albums from this influential Memphis-based funk and soul group. Originally active in the late 1970s and early 1980s, Kwick is renowned for their smooth blend of R&B grooves, infectious melodies, and tight musicianship. Their self-titled debut album "Kwick" (1981) features standout tracks like "I Want To Dance With You," while "To The Point" (1982) continues to showcase their signature sound with songs such as "Night Life." Both albums are highly regarded among collectors and fans of sophisticated soul music. Expansion Records is a respected UK label specializing in reissuing rare soul, jazz-funk, and disco gems. Known for its high-quality releases and dedication to preserving musical heritage, Expansion has become a go-to source for enthusiasts seeking timeless classics.
