Description:	Der Fürst von Sachsen-Karlsburg entsendet seinen Neffen, Erbprinz Karl-Heinrich (Christian Wolff), unter der Begleitung von Dr. Jüttner (Gert Fröbe) zum Studium nach Heidelberg. In der prächtigen Stadt angekommen, verliebt sich Karl-Heinrich in die Wirtsnichte Käthi (Sabine Sinjen) und tritt einer Studentenverbindung bei. Einige Zeit später kehrt der Erbprinz in seine Heimat zurück, da der Fürst erkrankt ist.
