What does it mean to experience sublime in music? Numerous genres, bands, and albums pass by, but let's boldly go back to the period before Bach. This album was created by an unknown composer to commemorate his teacher Josquin, a gem that shines in the mid-renaissance period. It was intended to comfort the dead, but contemporaries, especially the masters of the day such as Morales, Palestine, and Mouton, praised and worshiped. The interpretation of this great polyphony chant by Nevel and the Huelgas ensemble brings to the present the spiritual experiences that people of the Renaissance might have felt hundreds of years ago.
