Description:	Norman Phiffier (Jerry Lewis) hält sich mit kleinen Nebenjobs über Wasser, träumt jedoch davon, seiner Liebsten Barbara (Jill St. John) ein sorgenfreies Leben in Saus und Braus zu ermöglichen. Was er nicht weiß: Barbara selbst ist Erbin eines Kaufhausimperiums, will sich aber von ihrer herrschsüchtigen Mutter (Agnes Moorehead) befreien.
