Description:??There was this feeling inside me going into making this record that we??d never made an album before,? says guitarist/vocalist Scott McMicken of Dr. Dog??s Shame, Shame, their Anti- debut, originally released in 2010, and the first album made outside the safe confines of their home studio. Having evolved from a band whose primary creative outlet was the album-making process into one that favored the energy of their live performances, they knew they wanted to document the new dynamic they had developed on the road. Producer Rob Schnapf (Beck, Elliott Smith) was brought in to help peel back the intricate arrangements of last album Fate to reveal the raw immediacy of a tight five-man unit honing their craft. -
From Anti Records website: "The First 500 copies from the First Pressing are on orange vinyl and exclusive to the Dr. Dog and Anti- webstores."
"Shame, Shame" is the sixth studio album by American indie rock band Dr. Dog, released in 2010 on LP format. This record marks a significant evolution in the band's sound, blending their signature lo-fi harmonies and vintage pop influences with more polished production and emotionally resonant songwriting. Standout tracks like "Shadow People," "Stranger," and "Where'd All the Time Go?" showcase Dr. Dog's knack for infectious melodies and introspective lyrics that have earned them critical acclaim over the years. The band has built a loyal following through relentless touring and previous successes such as "Fate" (2008) and "We All Belong" (2007). The LP is produced by Anti / Indigo, renowned for supporting innovative artists across genres while maintaining high-quality vinyl releases that appeal to audiophiles.
