The first album released by 4AD collective This Mortal Coil. In 2018, Pitchfork ranked It'll End in Tears at number eight on its list of "The 30 Best Dream Pop Albums".

Stunning team debut! Elegant, masterly, stylish and inimitable. One of the biggest successes of 4 AD, along with Cocteau Twins and Dead Can Dance. I have all three in European publications. But, this is Japan! I am very glad.
