Digitally remastered two-fer containing a pair of albums from the R&B vocal legends: The Coasters (1958) and One By One (1960). All of these sensational recordings, most of them penned by the legendary team of Jerry Leiber and Mike Stoller, were propelled by the strong performances of the vocal harmony quintet, often with funny recurring lines produced/repeated by the bass voice, and fairly simple arrangements that relied heavily on strong rhythms and honkin' saxes. There's no better proof of the Coasters' talents than these funny, energetic and wonderful recordings. Hoo Doo Records. 2011.
