Extra-Infos: Living With Victoria Grey / / Grey&white Vinyl W/ Booklet
Description:Limited colored vinyl LP pressing in gatefold sleeve including an eight page booklet with new sleeve notes by Martin Newell. Deluxe vinyl issue of an album that first appeared on CD in 2004, which serves both as an introduction for new listeners and as a 'refresher' for past listeners. In fact, the 18 tracks on this collection were the 'Best of' the Cleaners vinyl years - as opposed to their DIY tape years. One of the great undiscovered talents of underground pop music, the Cleaners from Venus (led by Martin Newell) trawl a heritage of pop culture, trash TV and the innocence of a long-gone age. Slightly psychedelic, the songs echo Ray Davis and are steeped in 60's nostalgia. These tracks were selected from Under Wartime Conditions (Autumn 1985), Going to England (1986), Town and Country (1988), plus one or two orphan tracks from singles and 12" EPs from the period.
Limited to 500 numbered colour vinyl (grey & white) copies with 8pp colour booklet. Deluxe vinyl issue of an compilation album that first appeared on CD in 2004 on Cherry Red. This version does not contain the 4 spoken word tracks that appeared on the CD version. The 18 tracks on this collection are the ?best of? The Cleaners' vinyl years. These tracks were selected from 'Under Wartime Conditions' (Autumn 1985), 'Going To England' (1986) and 'Town & Country' (1988) plus singles and 12" e.p.'s from that period.
