Coltrane's early recording years are the focal point of this four-CD, fifty four-track collection, featuring a plethora of rarities for fans to clamor over including "How Deep Is the Ocean," "Potpourri," "While My Lady Sleeps," "Soultrane," "You Leave Me Breathless," "Locomotion," "Slow Dance" and more. This release includes a fifty two-page booklet with rare period photographs, discography and biographical notes.
If the listeners aren't acquainted with the structure of jazz music or have no interest in learning about it, then this cd won't be for them. For me, this is Brilliant cd - Highly recommended
