The album was recorded in Los Angeles with abbey road nurtured producer jerry boys, who has worked with ry cooder on the buena vista projects and rem. For this album, marshall has assembled an all star band of studio pros, anchored by drummer jim keltner, who has played on hundreds of rock's greatest albums including john lennon's imagine, steely dan's aja and the traveling wilburys. Marshall Crenshaw has built his career as a hit-making singer, songwriter, guitar player of power pop with hundreds and hundreds of songs on his resume.
