A Band Called 'O', were a popular live act on the British rock gig circuit between 1974-77. Whilst their studio albums clearly demonstrate the musical talent within the band, the live setting was where they really shined. With a line-up of two guitars, keyboards and excellent vocal harmonies they played a variety of Funk Rock with great licks, riffs and textures. These previously unreleased live recordings were both recorded at Nottingham University for live radio broadcasts and capture the band at the height of their career on British tours in 1975 and 1977. This album represents the best of the two concerts and is the only live material released by the band. It features tracks from all four of their studio albums and previously un-recorded material.

Compiled from 2 performances at Nottingham University. Both Recorded by Radio Trent for live broadcast Recording #1 Tuesday 14th October 1975 features Pete Filleul on keyboards. Recording #2 Saturday 26th February 1977 features Jeff Bannister on keyboards. There is no information in the booklet as to which tracks come from which date although there are clues in Pix Pickford's liner notes which refer to Jeff Bannister for certain tracks however he ends with this disclaimer: "I, Pix hereby declare that I am not responsible for any inaccuracies in the above....". An additional 40 minutes of bonus tracks is available for download only (this provides additional clues as to which date the CD tracks may come from): Don'tcha Wanna (1975), Lucia Loser (1977), Paradise Blue (1977), Fine White Wine (1977), Sleeping (1977), Sidewalk Ship (1977), Smile Is Diamond (1977), Sea Cruise (1977).
