Although this recording of standards was made late in his career, tenor saxophonist Al Cohn was in peak form and clearly inspired by an excellent Dutch rhythm section.

Recorded June 6, 1987 at Studio 44, Monster, Holland. Remastered in 2010 at Q-Point, Hilversum, The Netherlands. Track 8 is misattributed to Al Cohn as songwriter, this is the well known song by Sammy Fain & Paul Francis Webster written for the film "Calamity Jane."
