Drawn from her acclaimed performances at NYC's 54 Below, Luker covers three decades of Kern songs, including classics such as 'Can't Help Lovin' That Man,' 'The Folks Who Live on the Hill,' 'Why Was I Born?" and 'The Song is You,' along with more obscure fare. On her third solo disc for PS Classics (following Leaving Home and Greenwich Time), Luker - joined by music director and orchestrator Joseph Thalken- provides fresh arrangements and deeply personal renditions of some of the most elegant, moving songs of the Great American Songbook.
