Description: | Limited edition vinyl LP pressing. Founded in 1990 by frontman Walter Schreifels, Quicksand rose to notoriety in the '90s, with many dubbing the band a key pioneer in New York City's post-hardcore scene. Their debut self-titled EP was followed by two major label albums, Slip and Manic Compression. The band would eventually disband in 1999, but recently reconvened in 2012 for a reunion tour. Originally released in 1995 on Island Records, Quicksand's sophomore major label release, Manic Compression, is not only their last album to date but also their most successful, peaking at #135 on the Billboard 200.
