In Deutschland leider NOCH recht unbekannt, sind AlascA in ihrer Heimat (Volendam, Niederlande) bereits schon kleine Superstars, obwohl jetzt gerade erst ihr erstes Album erschienen ist. Und dieser Status ist absolut verdient! Mein Mann und ich haben den Weg aus Deutschland auf uns genommen, um bei der Album-Release-Party (17.02.2012) dabei sein zu können, weswegen ich das Album nun auch schon ausgiebig hören konnte. Und ehrlich gesagt kann ich meine Empfindungen kaum in Worte fassen. Ich habe selten ein so abwechslungsreiches und rundes Album gehört und man merkt sofort, dass hier ein Profi am Werk war (Alan Branch). Die Musik ist so aussergewöhnlich, dass man ihr eigentlich nur schwer ein Genre zuordnen kann. Der Grundton ist sicherlich melancholischer, moderner Folk. Gelegentlich muten die Klänge etwas mittelalterlich bis keltisch an und dann wird es auf der anderen Seite geradezu psychedelisch. Angenehm ruhige und verträumte Songs gehen Hand in Hand mit treibenden Stücken, die zum Mittanzen motivieren, oder einem einfach nur eine Gänsehaut auf die Arme zaubern (Track 7 unbedingt mal richtig laut aufdrehen!!) Lange Rede, kurzer Sinn - eine absolute Kaufempfehlung, die man gar nicht bereuen kann!
