Blues Hit Big Town by Junior Wells, released 26 May 1998, includes the following tracks: "Junior's Wail", "Ways Like An Angel", "Please Throw This Poor Dog A Bone", "Lord, Lord" and more.
This version of Blues Hit Big Town comes as a 1xCD. - W/ MUDDY WATERS, ELMORE JAMES, WILLIE DIXON, 1953 REC.
This CD is a collection of Junior's first recordings and includes collaborations from 1953 - 54 with Muddy Waters, Elmore James, the Aces with Louis and Dave Myers, Willie Dixon and others. It contains Junior's first recording of the song "Hoodoo Man Blues" plus 5 bonus tracks.
I love Buddy Guy's playing on the CD - he lets Wells have the main stage, and behaves like a true friend and musician - thinking only about the overall result. To conclude - this is a great blues CD, worth having to any blues fan. Highly recommended
