Alexander S. - 15/Feb/2020 A rather pleasant album, objectively not comparable to the past, but subjectively worthy of several auditions because of its charm. In addition, the fact of obvious plagiarism (excuse me) will help sufferers find here some good compositions. For me, these were Specters and Savior In The Clockwork. Sometimes, when the mood hits, I do not disdain "Sleepwalking", so everything is really not so bad.
| | Marco M. - 09/Feb/2016 Unexpected ICARUS edition of this album but quality of audio and booklet are same very good. I'm surprised of this edition and positively surprised of the quality of the songs contained: album is inspired and Sammet well manages all the voices of these great singers involved. Here you will find a perfectly balanced mixture of speed- power metal, rock and heavy sounds, half remembering the beginning of Avantasia and Edguy, half well representing the new flavour of Sammet's music, mixed with rock and heavy metal elements.Titletrack is an intriguing and emotional voyage same as shorter songs like Black Orchid grows with well composed refrains.
As fan of the old Sammet's works I'm completely satisfied with this album and I feel to suggest it to Others interested to the best Sammet's production during these last years (and a blessing to forgot about the poor Scarecrow of bad Edguy's experience like Tinnitus Sanctus; here we are on another planet!)
