« Game Over » est le premier album explosif de Nuclear Assault sorti en 1986 et désormais disponible en format CD via le catalogue Century Media. Ce disque est une référence incontournable du thrash métal : rapidité fulgurante, guitares acérées et paroles engagées caractérisent cette ?uvre phare d?une époque révoltée ! Des titres comme « Sin », « Radiation Sickness » ou encore « Hang the Pope » témoignent de l?énergie brute et du talent technique du groupe new-yorkais.
Formé au milieu des années 80 par le bassiste Dan Lilker après son départ d?Anthrax à New York City, Nuclear Assault s?est rapidement imposé sur la scène métal grâce à sa puissance sonore et ses thèmes sociaux percutants. Leurs premiers opus leur ont valu une place parmi les pionniers du thrash de la côte Est américaine ; « Game Over » reste un classique absolu pour tout amateur du genre.
Le fabricant Century Media Catalog est reconnu mondialement pour son engagement envers les musiques extrêmes telles que le métalcore ou le death/thrash/black métal traditionnel depuis sa création en 1988 ; ce label indépendant majeur a permis l?émergence internationale de nombreux groupes innovants dans l?univers rock/métal contemporain.
Nuclear Assault was formed in 1986 by Danny Lilker after he left Anthrax. Nuclear Assault's brutal sound combined both the hardcore influences of S.O.D. and the speed metal of Anthrax -Spreading The Disease int he fast speed as possible.
Game Over is really a legend of 80's hardcore/thrash metal.
Besides this edition has 5 tracks Live At The Hammersmith Odeon April 10th, 1989. Best recomended.

Do you like trash, speed, uncompromising? Are you tired of your girlfriend's or your sister's (boy's or brother's) pseudo-metal band? Have your metal friends come to see you? Turn on "Game Over" / "The Plague" louder and ... chop, chop and chop again! Great mood, healthy wild trash waste, the collapse of the chandelier along with the ceiling of the neighbors below and a pumped-up neck are guaranteed! From the very first seconds, the space around you will explode with a joyful youthful protest against everything that limits your right to free (expressed in a primitive cry) expression of will and reckless headbangers' pastime. Finally, give yourself a break from all these boring propriety and conventions! Do not let yourself dry up and just, like a child, "not like a child," RELEASE!
But the most remarkable thing is that the music on the disc is very serious: seriously written, recorded (by Alex Perialas and Randy Burns) and played. Starting with the supersonic instrumental intro "Live, Suffer, Die", the musicians simply do not let the listener's attention go with short, biting, just nuclear songs - real thrash hits: "Sin, Cold Steel", "Betrayal", "Hang The Pope "," Stranded In Hell "," Justice "- the golden fund and classics of the genre. So if you care about New York thrash metal, this CD is in danger of becoming your desktop one.

Crossover Thrash at its best. My friend Hari Suresh witness them live and have told me that its the most energetic performance he has ever witnessed.
