Monotheist es el sexto álbum de estudio de la banda suiza de metal extremo Celtic Frost, lanzado en 2006 por Century Media Records. El álbum marca un regreso a las raíces del metal extremo de la banda, con un sonido más oscuro y atmosférico que sus trabajos anteriores.
Monotheist explora temas de religión, filosofía y misticismo, con letras que son a la vez poéticas y crípticas. La música es compleja y progresiva, con una mezcla de riffs pesados, melodías melancólicas y atmósferas inquietantes.
El álbum fue aclamado por la crítica y los fans por su sonido innovador y su profundidad conceptual. Monotheist es considerado una obra maestra del metal extremo y una de las mejores grabaciones de la carrera de Celtic Frost.
