Seven Hills is the new album from Finnish born Alexi Tuomarila, an artist on the cusp of becoming one of the most important pianists & composers on the jazz scene. In recent years he has released three albums as a leader but more importantly joined Thomas Stankos' Quintet with which he has toured the world as well as recording the outstanding 'Dark Eyes' CD on ECM. Alexi Tuomarila is now releasing his new album Seven Hills, with his long term trio featuring bassist Mats Eilertsen and drummer Olavi Louhivuori. The new album, recorded in Lisbon (the city of Seven Hills) is highly creative and bustling with life. Seven Hills is an album that will turn heads - he is a pianist and composer with a very bright future.
