This version of The Virgin Years: 1977-1983 comes as a 5xCD. - 2012 five CD anthology from the German Electronic pioneers, the follow-up to the box set the Virgin Years: 1974-1978. Starting with the live album Encore (1977), this box set contains some of their biggest selling albums joined by rare non-album tracks. Apart from Encore, this set also includes the albums Force Majeure, Tangram, Exit, White Eagle, Logos (1982) and Hyperborea (1983). EMI.CDs come in a thick double CD jewelcase with 5 CD trays, including a 8-page booklet.
Tracks 1-1 to 1-4 recorded during the North American tour March/April 1977.
Tracks 1-5 and 1-6 are A- & B-sides 1977.
Tracks 2-4 & 3-1 recorded 1980 at Polygon Studios, Berlin. Mixed at Hansa Studios, Berlin.
Tracks 3-2 to 3-7 recorded and mixed July 1981 in Berlin.
Tracks 3-8 and 3-9 are A- & B-sides 1981.
