Description:Zwei nicht allzu hellen Gangstern gelingt es, ein illegales Pokerspiel zu überfallen, die Spieler um ihr Geld zu erleichtern und unerkannt zu entkommen. Das hat Folgen: Denn die Kartenspiele werden vom organisierten Verbrechen ausgerichtet, das eigentlich für die Sicherheit der Zocker geradestehen sollte. Solange die Diebe nicht geschnappt sind, müssen die Spiele ausgesetzt werden.
Um schnell wieder Normalität einkehren zu lassen, wird Jackie Cogan (Brad Pitt) engagiert, ein Profikiller, der Beste seines Fachs. Ihm wird es aber nicht leicht gemacht.
