Remastered limited edition 1960 album, â??Portrait in Jazzâ?? was Bill Evansâ?? third album as a leader, following â??New Jazz Conceptionsâ?? (1956) and â??Everybody Digs Bill Evansâ?? (1958). This release includes â??Blue In Green (from Kind of Blue)â??, â??Come Rain Or Come Shine (Live)â??, â??Nardis (Live)â??, â??Blue In Green (Live)â?? and â??Autumn Leaves (Live)â??. Also on this album as guest on track 10 (1959): Miles Davis (tp), John Coltrane (ts), Bill Evans (p), Paul Chambers (b) and Jimmy Cobb (d). Tracks 11 to 14 were live performed at Birdland, april 30, 1960. -

Recorded in New York; December 28, 1959. Barcode sticker on shrink wrap. Cream and light green Riverside 'reel to reel' labels. Identical to [r15951459], but without printed barcode in back cover and a plain white paper inner sleeve with rounded corners and center cutout. Side 1 label is slightly different.
