Sankt Otten is part of the interesting and always challenging Denovali label from Germany. It is the 7th full length album by Sankt Otten founded in 1999. Messias Maschine consists of a series of pieces by Stephan Otten (drums, programming, synthesizer)and Oliver Klemm (guitar, synthesizer, piano) in collaboration with a number of musicians who they greatly admire. The result is an exciting and beautifully recorded electronic album which fits into the traditional Krautrock and Space rock Genres reminiscent of classic albums from the early 70s The presentation of the album cover art by Denovali as always is sensitive and thoughtfully relates to the listening experience. The artwork images of sensitive figure drawings were done by Salustiano, who continues to work with Sankt Otten after doing the artwork for their previous two releases.
